Call for Papers / Workshops / CE Sessions

SAVE International® invites all interested parties to submit a paper for presentation, a 1 or 2 hour interactive Continuing Education session and/or a pre- and/or post-Summit workshop at the 2020 Value Summit, taking place June 6-9, 2020 at the Royal Sonesta New Orleans in New Orleans, LA, USA. To help support our enhanced program, please note that the 2020 Summit will be a total of 2.5 days.

Big Ideas in the Big Easy: Let VM Show You How! 
Here is your chance to share your innovative approaches, new technology advances, lessons learned and value enhancements to your peers and professionals in the Value industry as well as helping SAVE to support the continuing education initiative for certification through our core competencies.

 

 

 

 

We are looking for topics that support our mission of improving value to a project, product or process. Examples might include:

  • New technology to improve value

  • How is emerging technology affecting VM?

  • Business process improvements

  • Value in transportation

  • Value enhancement tools that support value management

  • Value improvement approaches in manufacturing

  • Value management improvement approaches and process improvements

  • Improving value in government

  • Value management and systems engineering

  • Enhancing core competencies

 

Papers must be received by 11:59 PM Eastern Time, December 14, 2019. All papers and presentations will be reviewed by the Paper Review Committee and changes may be requested. Earlier completions and submissions are greatly appreciated. Submissions will only be accepted through the SAVE 2020 Value Summit Paper Submission Site.

Calling all Instructors!

SAVE International® is also looking for Workshop proposals! We are now organizing the pre- and post-Summit training program for the 2020 Value Summit. Our training sessions, to be held prior to or after the Summit, will be geared to the needs of our members and other attendees interested in value-related education. This includes possible SAVE approved Value Methodology Fundamentals (VMF) 1 and 2 training. As an instructor, SAVE will compensate you for conducting a workshop! SAVE International® is introducing “Interactive Continuing Education” Sessions to the 2020 Value Summit.

The purpose is to provide our membership with hands on skills, training and additional experience in the Core Competencies. These Interactive Continuing Education Sessions will be held as a track or tracks during the conference. These sessions are to be 1-hour to 2-hours in duration and must address one of the Core Competencies.

This submission is for short (1 to 2 hour) Interactive Continuing Education Sessions to be run during the main Summit tracks. These sessions are different from the pre- and post-Summit training sessions and there is no instructor reimbursement associated with these sessions.
 
When submitting your proposal to provide an Interactive Continuing Education Session, you must provide an outline for your session as well as a sample of the course material. Please provide a brief abstract of your Interactive Continuing Education Session as well.
